Employment Law Basics for Small Business Employers (Hawaii Island - Kona)
This seminar is designed to take the scary out of compliance for small business employers and new supervisors. It is geared to provide an overview of the labor laws that employers should know about. We’ll also touch on new laws like Hawaii’s Equal Pay Act that took effect January 2019 and other laws that may be on the horizon. After completing this session, attendees will leave with: • A general understanding of the laws that guide employment decisions • Techniques to minimize risk in the workplace • Awareness of labor laws recently passed or being considered

We are located at the NELHA (Natural Energy Lab of HI) campus, accessed from Kaiminani Dr. (traffic light just south of the airport).
