Event Description: Non-profit businesses are an integral part of our economy and of our community. They are businesses formed for an altruistic or community needs-based reasons, and while they share many attributes of for-profit businesses, they are different in many ways too. Come learn from Susan Maddox, executive team leader at Friends of the Future in Kamuela, how to form a non-profit organization, how to develop a mission for it, how to recruit for both board members, and how to budget and secure funding.
